Francisco Castillo’s journey to becoming a therapist is anything but ordinary. A high school dropout turned U.S. Navy veteran, he spent twenty years in active service before pursuing psychology and becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. His unique path taught him resilience, discipline, and the profound impact of trauma across generations—lessons he now channels into his work helping individuals and families heal.

His book, The Generational Algorithm, was born from a realization: families operate like emotional algorithms, silently programming patterns of love, silence, survival, and pain. Drawing on neuroscience, Internal Family Systems, narrative therapy, and powerful client stories, Francisco created a practical framework he calls the DECODE method, guiding readers through a 90-day journey to detect, override, and evolve beyond inherited cycles.

Through his therapy practice in Hawaii, speaking engagements, and his podcast Cruisin’ for Clarity with a Therapist, Francisco continues his mission: helping people break free from outdated emotional code and create healthier legacies for themselves and the generations to come.
